ZERØ was created to distill the experience of writing to its most essential form. In our hectic modern world, ZERØ revives and purifies a lost art form. It is designed to bring a moment of peace, to pause time.
ZERØ is not only a piece of design; it is also a sensational writing instrument. Every element of ZERØ is designed for the sole purpose of enhancing your writing experience. The form of ZERØ is comfortable and pure. The balance has been meticulously calculated in computer models to ensure optimal balance for silky, effortless writing. We chose the uncompromising and well respected German nib manufacturer, Bock, for the finest writing experience. The beauty of ZERØ lies not only in its form, but also in its function.
"Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." Above all else, ZERØ was designed with one thing in mind: minimalism. In our pursuit of purity, minimalism was an inevitable byproduct. Minimalism is not simply the style of ZERØ, it is the soul of it.
In designing the ZERØ, we were fanatical in our attention to details both seen and unseen. Its like finishing the back of a fence or underside of a table; nobody will see it, but you do it because it's just right. Our products are a reflection of ourselves and our values; Over the course of two years, we poured over and refined every detail for iteration after iteration. The result is ZERØ, a pen that reflects our insatiable desire for perfection.
The most fundamental element of any product is its material. ZERØ begins life as virgin space-grade 6000 series aluminum. This alloy was deliberately chosen for the optimal weight, feel, durability and function of ZERØ. This alloy serves as the pure, precise foundation ZERØ is built upon.
The beauty of ZERØ is not only in the product, but in the process. ZERØ is CNC-machined for uncompromising precision. The manufacturer we have chosen has roots in the aerospace industry and was ultimately selected because of their shared commitment to quality and fanatical attention to detail.
The finish of ZERØ has been meticulously developed over numerous iterations for the most beautiful, durable, and pleasant result. Our anodizing-based finishing process involves multiple steps, each of which adds a layer of beauty and functionality. The ZERØ is currently available in both a silver and black finish.
ZERØ was designed as a fountain pen simply because fountain pens offer the absolute best writing experience. History, craftsmanship, design, and precision offer fountain pens a depth and dimension that other pens simply don't have. If you've never used a fountain pen, when you do, it will change the way approach writing, they compel you to create. ZERØ uses fine German-Made Bock nibs and feeds along with Schmidt K5 Converters. These components have been chosen for their performance and precision.

"The ZERØ Fountain Pens are so minimal they put all others to shame. When capped, they look like an otherworldly, unblemished, pure cylindrical mass. Remove the cap, and you have a world class writing instrument to pen down your literary genius.
ZERØ channels the Minimalist approach with sheer determination, embracing it through and through. The result is a pen so fine, you won’t be able to take your hands off it... If you look at the philosophy and meticulous detail gone into crafting something this pure, you notice how much has gone into attaining such a level of perfection.
So, if the Pen is truly mightier than the sword, let the ZERØ be your weapon of choice." - Yanko Design
"I think the Zero is a slick pen. The more I've used it, the more I find I enjoy what the people at Trilogy have put together and I really, really like it ... super sleek and very polished. " - The Clicky Post
"I think the Zero Fountain Pen by Trilogy has a ton of potential. Its an incredibly substantial pen that retains great modesty due to it’s minimalist design and it manages to write very nicely without any of the flaws that you might assume come along with such a large pen. For a fountain pen with this much subtle presence I think the current pricing on Kickstarter is definitely worth it. If it the project is successful you will be getting the footprint and presence of a pretty imposing pen for a great (read mid-range) price." - Office Supply Geek
"The ZERØ has a nice look, a cool design, and it is indeed minimalist...I like the full package. I think the large size and simplicity of the pen and the final product is appealing ... The #6 steel nib is great for daily use, and the C/C system is easy to use. The price, IMHO, is fair. " - Gourmet Pens
"Its’s a pen I’ve been enjoying picking up and writing with. It stands out from similar “minimalist” Kickstarter-launched pens... It’s a reasonable price ($50 early bird, $60 later) and if I wasn’t on an absolute (and extremely hard to stick to) spending hiatus I would back it." - Pens Paper Pencils
"Nearly all fountain pens are gaudy affairs complete with overly busy designs. The design of Trilogy’s Zero Fountain Pen was taken in an opposite direction." -Gear Hungry
" I like the Trilogy Zero overall, and I came away from the review impressed...If Trilogy continues to target the $55-$60 price point post-Kickstarter, they could really have something here. " - The Gentleman Stationer
"...seamlessly coming together to form one continuous and slightly tapered rod." - EDC
